The defroster will still work, just not nearly as well. A 1960 model car for instance had a defroster function to blow warm air on the windshield before cars had a/c. Just regular heat will not be affected. Darrell

There are always awesome sales after Christmas on tools. I would think he would want something that he can just plug in to an outlet. Many require a dedicated 230 volt line. It can be confusing. I would recommend a gift card to his fav tool supplier or my personal choice would be Northern Tool and Equipment, first and Sears as a second choice. A third option would be a Visa (or similar) gift card that can be used anywhere. In the little card put "for your compressor". Ian

M160-A2 M14 Sniper Spring Airsoft Rifle Combo Short ver. airsoft gun
A 1:1 scale replica of an M14 rifle, the heavy-duty M160-A2 airsoft gun is remarkably authentic. The rifle fires round 6mm plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun via a spring mechanism.

You can. But what is the source of your heat? If you have aux heat (electric) in the air handler, you'll be okay. No aux heat, then you'll still be freezing. The only connection between the air handler and the compressor is the refrigerant lines (plus a couple of electric lines to control power to the compressor). When you run with the fan only on the thermostat, you are running the air handler only. Dan B

Your common air-compressors that you find in auto-shops, hardware stores, etc will not work for a HPA/N2/Compressed air tank.

A CO2 tank is only rated around 200 psi

Your typical air-compressor only operates around 50-200 psi. . . Your high-pressure air tanks used for paintball require 3500 to 4000 PSI. If you were to attempt to fill the reservoir tank on a standard air-compressor with this much pressure it would explode.

The compressors used to fill high-pressure air tanks are typically the same used to fill SCUBA tanks.

These compressors run in stages off 220 volts and usually diesal engines. theDreadPirateRobert
