    Check for a leak or slipping belt.If it stops at this low pressure then adjust your pressure switch paulofhouston

    The check valve could have stuck open, which would allow the air to push back into the cylinder instead of staying in the tank, or the piston rings could be worn or the cylinder itself could be worn to a point where it won’t hold more pressure than that. You will most likely have to take it to shop that does compressor repairs for a checkup. Corky R

    i have seen a similar problem before is that compressor oil-less???
    If it is than its the pump seal that has gone bad it tends to happen on large oil-less compressors made by Campbell hausfeld it can be fixed by ordering a new piston. Michael
